As a candle and soap company, we pride ourselves in creating unique scents that everyone can enjoy. Much like finding the perfect décor for your home, the right scent can elevate a room and add a new element of your personality to your space. Scents, however, aren’t the only priority! Just as significant as the candles and soaps we create is how they are made, and what they are made from.
Clean Materials, Cleaner Air
Candles have a way of making our homes more welcoming and tranquil. They relax our minds and bodies and contribute to an atmosphere of comfort. People have always associated candles with cleanliness, which may be why we love to light them after cleaning our space or burn them while having a bath!
The last thing we want is for our customers to have to sacrifice clean air in order to light their favorite scents. In today’s market, many candle makers continue to use wicks with metallic cores in order to increase burn times for certain waxes. The issue behind metallic-core wicks is harmful emissions that release into the air as the wick burns, exposing you and the air in your space to ultra-fine particles.
When we began making candles at Happy Hops, our top priority was and still remains offering products made from safe, quality materials. That is why we value the importance of using clean, vegan and cruelty-free ingredients like 100% soy wax, lead and zinc-free cotton wicks, and fragrances free of phthalate, parabens, SLS and SLES. When burning one of our 100% soy wax candles, you can do so knowing it won’t harm the air in your home.
Looking Out for Your Skin
Apart from our wide array of scent options, one of our favorite things about our soaps is the benefits they can provide your skin. Each soap is handmade with three different butters: shea, mango and cocoa butter.
Shea butter is not only moisturizing, but also offers anti-inflammatory properties as well as antioxidants, which help to keep the skin smooth and hydrated. Mango butter is rich with vitamins C and E, which can help protect your skin from stressors in the environment such as pollutants. As both of those super ingredients work to moisturize, the fatty acids in cocoa butter ensure that moisture stays locked into the skin, keeping it supple and boosting its elasticity.
The result of these three incredible ingredients is soaps that create a creamy lather, leaving your skin feeling fresh without the consequences of harsh ingredients.
